The scholarship includes funding for undergraduate tuition, as well as monthly support for living expenses. The foundation was established out of a sense of commitment and gratitude to the thousands of lone soldiers who served in the IDF, most of them young people who left their most precious of all: parents, family and friends, immigrated to Israel alone and enlisted in the IDF. The foundation was established by Jerry Schwartz and his wife, Heather Reisman, who see lone soldiers as the spearhead in the field of volunteering and contributing to the State of Israel.
